Our Lady’s Mantle started as an idea of a homeschool mom in Katy. As most homeschool moms do, she researched and researched education styles. After much study and eight years of homeschooling under her belt, she ended up with a mix of classical and Charlotte Mason style homeschooling with a heavy dose of Catholicism. There was no such group in the Katy or West Houston area that supported this type of homeschooling. So, Our Lady’s Mantle was born!
What this group hopes to provide to Catholic homeschoolers:
First Friday devotion–park play dates–teen time–book clubs for both mom and kids–mother culture nights–field trips–board game fun–nature hikes–art studies–Stations of the Cross–Advent activities–Liturgical year activities–curriculum advice–curriculum exchange–friendship and support
